Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JEV) Test Chip
On-site JEV PCR for swine farms — results in under 60 minutes.
Pigs are the amplifying host of Japanese encephalitis, a mosquito-borne zoonosis that causes stillbirths and mummified fetuses in sows, orchitis in boars, and encephalitis in people. PCR on sow serum or aborted fetuses during the mosquito season supports both herd management and One Health surveillance. Runs on the CarryOn portable analyzer with a sealed, single-use microfluidic chip; nucleic acid extraction and real-time fluorescence PCR are fully automatic, and chips store at room temperature.
