Porcine Parvovirus (PPV) Test Chip
On-site PPV PCR for swine farms — results in under 60 minutes.
PPV is the classic cause of SMEDI reproductive failure — stillbirths, mummified fetuses and small litters in gilts. PCR on fetal tissue or gilt serum confirms PPV behind a reproductive problem and checks boar semen before use. Runs on the CarryOn portable analyzer with a sealed, single-use microfluidic chip; nucleic acid extraction and real-time fluorescence PCR are fully automatic, and chips store at room temperature.
