Transmissible Gastroenteritis Virus (TGEV) Test Chip
On-site TGEV PCR for swine farms — results in under 60 minutes.
TGE produces watery diarrhea and near-100% mortality in piglets under two weeks and is clinically identical to PED. PCR on a rectal swab tells TGEV from PEDV and rotavirus the same day, which decides whether feedback, biosecurity or vaccination is the right response. Runs on the CarryOn portable analyzer with a sealed, single-use microfluidic chip; nucleic acid extraction and real-time fluorescence PCR are fully automatic, and chips store at room temperature.
